Accord transmission
I have an accord, 2000 V6 with transmission problems. They tell me I need a new one. The recall includes my car but only up to 100,000 miles. That's not fair. I have 104000 miles. Any suggestions about what to do. Thanks

Re: Accord transmission
Call American Honda Motor (AHM) @ (800) 999-1009, and tell them that you have 2000 Accord V6 with 104,000ml on it and transmission just went bad on it, and per dealer recommendation it needs to be replaced (I assume you went to dealer for transmission diagnostics). Then you tell them that you’re disappointed that car that you bought for its known reliably has bad transmission at 104,000ml, and then you should ask if they can help you with this problem.
And hopefully they will offer you a Good Will repair. Honda did it a quiet few hundreds of times, may be even thousand times. Under Good Will transmission repair Honda will give you rebuilt transmission for free but you pay for installation which is approximately $500.
