Re: times from track

You sir have some of the worst 60' I have ever seen

lol what were you launching at?

After all this time I always thought your car was modified more than an intake. Hmm

Re: times from track

on a 4-door DX, stock, I ran 18.078 @ 74, so your time seems pretty good. I have long since lost my slip, so I have no idea what my 60' times, etc..were

Re: times from track

Its so unfair, there are absolutely no tracks out here in southern california that I know about, everyone I have asked has told me that there aren't any. I really want to take my car to the track too.... Anyway... 20lbs of tools, what the heck ya carrying in there?

well i tried launching between 3 and rev limiter which is like 6200 or around there. i found that i got the best times with a rev limit launch.

in my tool box was basic metric and standard sockets with the tools to change an axle because the axles i got in my civic were run without cv boots for a while so i was afraid that they were weak and might break. my whole tool box weighs almost like 60lbs.

my car at one point in time had a ls motor, but after i installed it and on intial start up i found that it had major rod knock so i pulled that ls motor out and took it apart only to find the crank was no good, 2 rods were bent and about to break, it grinded up 2 of the main bearings. but the stock motor had broken a timing belt but i never even tried to see if it ran, so after this ls incident i stuck back in the stock motor only to find 8 of the valves bent, so i pulled the stock motor out. picked up a 92 civic motor and threw that motor in and thats what i have now, still 1.5 and still dpfi. but i picked up another ls engine and that engine is going in as soon as i burn up this stock clutch.

so actually this is the first time my car has ran in 3 years. the car sat for almost a year because i knew it broke the timing belt so i was saving up for a swap, located a ls motor (the broken one) i actually got the motor a year and a half after i worked out the deal. after i found out it was broken took me couple months to locate and install that 92 civic motor, which sucked going back from mpfi and dewiring it back to dpfi.
