lifting?

I am new user, so i appologize if this topic has already been discussed. Heres my question, I have an 03 crew cab s-10, and want to lift it. Susspension are around 1600, and thats a little pricey. What is the best as well as reasonable inexpensive way, to lift the vehicle, including the diff. I would like to do a little offroading, mostly hunting, and I figured lift blocks with bigger tires. I also heard of "add a leaf" however my leafs are on the bottom of my axle. Can i change that? I also heard about a "bumper lift" so that a 4 in. body lift wont look so "weird".
I am not wanting to void my waranty, and am looking for a simple way to lift the vehicle for more clearence.Any suggestions?
