Stock CD Player Display
The display on my stock cd player opften screws up. It'll show 8s or incomplete 8s when the radio is on or the clock is on. Sometimes it'll go away and fix itself as soon as I change the station, while othertimes I have to turn it off and it still takes a while to fix.

Also, sometimes I start the car and the lcd doesn't light right away.

Re: Stock CD Player Display
possibly loose wiring. Before you go buy a used stock stereo i would take it out and check the connections.

Re: Stock CD Player Display
It is a Pontiac. Have a New Grand Prix and have had 3 stereo's put in it because of the same problem. Also know about a half dozen Pontiac owners with the same problem. Live with it or get an aftermarket is my advice.

Re: Stock CD Player Display
its not Pontiac, its GM. GM has a terrible electrical reputation.
