1990 Camaro Iroc-Z 5.7L Traction control!??

I'm interested in finding out if this year had traction control standard on the Iroc-Z or if it was an option .. i believe it does, i put it to the floor and i get very little slip and it just shoots off like a rocket ... or any info on looking within the car, and if it is ... is it better than none at all for times, obviously less slip and more tire to pavement ... but i can't find out for the life of me if it does or not, Any info?

It doesnt have traction control but it would have a limited slip differential to help it take off better by spinning both wheels instead of one.

Re: 1990 Camaro Iroc-Z 5.7L Traction control!??

Only newer cars would have TCS. Any older rear wheel drive car would either have posi traction (lsd) or just an open rearend which sucks crap.

Your convertable may have posi but to find out for sure check in the center console and look at the RPO codes list and I believe that G80 is for posi traction.

And yes the 9 bolt rear end kicks ass and my new 3.27 puts the old 2.77 to shame.

Ford makes a 9 inch rear and gm used a 9 bolt rearend in thirdgens around the late 80s.
