How Low Can I Go ?

I've got 18" rims and want to lower my '97 Cavalier with lowering springs. How low can I go without the front tires rubbing on turns.
Thanks in advance!

I'm running 18" Quantum Tech rims with Kumho 235/40 ZR 18 Tires. I don't think I can lower my car as much as a person who has narower tires and smaller rims. I just don't want to buy 2" lowering springs if I can only drop mine 1.4" without chance of tires rubbing. Do you think I would be safe (no rubbing) with a 1.4" or 1.5" drop? Thanks again ! Bill

P.S. Your Cavalier looks great!

Re: How Low Can I Go ?

well I have those same tires. 18"X7.5 and i lowered it 1.7" and it is fine. also if you lower with just springs you should buy struts and shocks too...
