Question HD Posi/Lockers...

Does anyone out there with a 2500/3500 HD have problems with the posi in their rear end? Mine only engages about 1 out of 8 times, no matter how much throttle is used. I can do a one wheel peel for miles, but rarely do both hook up like they used to.
Has anyone rebuilt their posi to fix this? If so... What is involved?

Also... Has anyone put a locker in their full floating HD rearend? If so, which one and how do you like it?

Thanks!!!

Re: HD Posi/Lockers...

My brother-in-law put one on an F-250 that worked great. It was called lock-rite. You know that those couplings engage at a stop and release once you're rolling at about 5+, so if you're not starting from a dead stop, everything could be working just as designed.

Mine does that too... it just locks and sticks sometimes too. I hate it.

Re: HD Posi/Lockers...

Have you changed the diff fluid and added that synthetic additive crap that GM recommends at $30/bottle? That might possibly help a little, but I dunno.
