I have a 98 GP GT and the blower switch started not working on anything but high (5) and off. Now the switch doesn't work at all, and the blower stays on high even when I turn the car off. I had to pull the fuse to turn it off. Any help on what to do would be great...thanks.

Re: 98 Grand Prix GT Blower problem
Try replacing the blower motor resistor located under the dash next to the fan motor. When they go bad this occurs. If that doesn't fix the problem you may need to replace the ignition switch as it may have gone bad causing this problem. The resistor costs about $40 at a dealer (only place you can get one) and will take a little time to replace.

Re: 98 Grand Prix GT Blower problem
The AC Delco part number for your resistor is 15-80543 and sells for $20. Even dealer list is only $28
gm dealer part # is 12386908. |
