Re: my transmission broke can i have yours
Can I presuade you into selling your car before you completely destroy it? Seeing as how you're so easily influenced! j/k
No you can't have my transmission. You may have better luck looking for your transmission though. The 944S used the same trany as the turbo. It might open your search a little.

Re: my transmission broke can i have yours
If it were me, I'd look at salvage places specializing in Porsches. Parts Heaven (Hayward, CA) is a good one. Or I'd find a deal on a parts car that's had an engine fire or some other catastophic event. Sounds like you only need it for a short time (based on your driving habits), so I wouldn't put too much money into it (heh).

Re: my transmission broke can i have yours
There is no 1989 944 S3. There a S2. S3 was the orgininal designation fro the 968.
Id buy a 89+ 951 transaxle. Stronger & LSD standard. I wouldnt use a 924 transaxle cause you will break it quicker than you broke your old tranny. What exactly broke anyways? 968 tranny wouldnt be worth the money unless you got different gear ratio(s). 968 6th gear is equal to 951 5th gear. Onyl thing that you would most likely even notice would be a little better acceleration in 1st gear. |
