Single or dual bend?

I have searched previous threads and have read the debates over the ebay vs quality and have decided it’s worth the extra cash, so I am looking to get a B&M or Skunk2 short shifter but I am not sure whether I should get a single or dual bend. Does the dual bend have any notable differences or is it strictly personal preference. And does the dual bend short shifter sit closer to the console than to the driver? Thanks in advance.
