'99 GC...need to fix alarm, (or disable)
I have a '99 Grand Caravan (3.8) with 75k miles...
I cannot figure out what is going on with the alarm system. I lock the door (with either the transmitter or the door lock), and after a while the thing starts blarring like someone is trying to break-in. It will do this at varying intervals after being locked...shortest was about 1 min longest has been a couple hours. I have no idea how this started and when it did this for the first time, I didn't even know it came with an alarm. Been going for about 3-months now and my wife is afraid to lock the van. I did hit a deer in June on the left-front and had that fixed. I noticed the Relay Center is up in that area, but I didn't notice any damage to it, but I figure there must be some connection to what's going on. I would just as soon disable the thing as pay money to fix it, but we'll see. Thanks for any help, |

Re: '99 GC...need to fix alarm, (or disable)
Is this the OEM alarm? Does it honk the horn or a siren? My guess is that you have a problem with a door pin switch.

OEM = Original Equipment???
If so, yes. This alarm came with the vehicle. The lights flash and horn sounds. Thanks,
