Opinions on Power...
Im almost done installing my system in my car. I got 2 audiobahn 12s at 800 watts peak per sub and a kenwood 800 watt total amp running both of these. I also have a 1 farad cap on this system as well. Basically what I want to know is if I will be okay as far as my charging system goes with just the cap. I have a 95 civic si, do you think this is too much power for the stock alternator and stock battery? The battery is almost brand new and I really dont wanna spend another 130 on an optima but if I have to I will. If anyone can offer any opinions please do. Thanks in advance.

Re: Opinions on Power...
no its not to much for your stcok alt.
as long as its hooked up rite u should have no problem.and the cap.will also help u out alot.when your amp needs juice on the peaks the cap will already have the power stored it needs.and i am still using my stock alt. and i have a 95 civic ex.and i run a 2000 watt amp and a 15"solo l7.and i dont have a cap.so u should be just fine |

Need more details- wattage listings on most amps are useless, what is the rated amperage draw on the amps, total? Also, are you running any other electrical add-ons to the car (larger fuel pump, pnumatic compressors, lighting, etc.)?
