oh geezz.. an other detail set that will cost over 120$

Only photo etches and Grill mesh are welcomed for the kit, the engin is fine the way it is

Re: PIC: Acustion Carrera GT detail set

I would need the suspension sets, mesh on the engine bay, CF decals, the photo etches, and specification plate.

What is the point of making the same kit parts in white metal? They take a lot longer to prepare/polish than using the kit plastic parts. Unless someone was going to electroplate them they seem a little useless.
The other parts look nice but I would wait for the Scale Motorsport or Studio 27 parts before buying these. Acustion parts are way more expensive then Studio 27 and in some cases more expensive than Scale Motorsports. This does not mean I would not buy some of it but I will be waiting for Scale Motorsport and Studio 27 before taking the plunge.

Re: PIC: Acustion Carrera GT detail set

To me, the only parts worth buying are the pre-pressed PE engine covers. That's kinda hard to make, so 1700 yen sounds reasonable. For the rest, I'd go for S27 or SMS.

Ahh Finally! But the only parts I'll need are the engine covers and the grill/brake set. The engine itself is somewhat pointless. Thanks for the post!!!

Re: PIC: Acustion Carrera GT detail set

The brakes are real nice in the kit and with the separate caliper they can be detailed as good as the pe parts... I am not sure why people would want to replace those.. Now those grille covers are nice!!

Re: PIC: Acustion Carrera GT detail set

Agree with the guys who agree with David I am constantly amazed some of the stuff Acustion produce (and the prices they charge ). I mean who buys this stuff? Those metal engine parts are completely redundant IMHO. For sure the engine cover is very nice and some of the PE looks useful. But what is the deal with the recasting of plastic engine parts in metal? Do people just like having a heavy engine or something Admittedly the picture above at least shows a nice finish on the metal pieces, not like previous kits of theirs.
