axle

Hello i have a cj 5 and i was wondering how you identify what kind of axles your have on your jeep because i want to put an e locker on it.

The newer jeeps can be searched at a chrysler dealer and they can print you the line sheet for your vehicle- not sure about one that old.

Standard for that jeep was a Dana 30. Look at the cover. If it is an oval cover with 10 bolts it is probably a dana 30. On one of the bolts there should be a tag with the ratio and other info. That may tell you for sure.

If you have a manual, you should be able to compare the shape and bolt pattern of the diff cover to determine the unit you have.
