problem with keyless locking and alarm

Hello,

I just had two doors on passenger side changed. After that when I used my keyless entry to lock my car, it was just locking but no horn beep. However, all doors seemed to have been locked already, because I can't open either of them.

What could be the potential reason? My car is a 99 Saturn SL2.

Thanks in advance!

Re: problem with keyless locking and alarm

just to clearifly, every thing works fine except for the horn? will the horn honk from the steering wheel?

first thing i would do is double check ALL fuses

Yes, it seems everything works fine except for the horn. The horn does honk from the steering wheel. And it does work when I press "alarm" on the remote controller/transmitter.

I am wondering how does the car determine whether all doors have been locked. Because the horn will only beep when I press "lock" after all doors have been locked.

Thanks!
