Talking DSMers gotta love em'

I dont get y everyone does'nt drive a DSM the people who drive these cars actually know what they r talking about the biggest differnce between people who drive DSM and people who drive Hondas is thats DSMers know that u have to do motor work and they know how to get power out of their 4cyl unlike the Honda owners who jus slap on exaust tips and graphixs and drop it i just dont get the whole Honda lowered, rims, and the exaust falling off

P.S. yes i do know i cant spell wich is y u should stay in School

yes i love myself for having a dsm, even though i dont know s*** about them (im learning). About the hondas (lowering, rims, exhaust tip), its called ricing. Also, you might try using a period (.) every once in a while .

Re: DSMers gotta love em'

I have a friend with a 96 honda civic ex, he bought a turbo kit send it to be intalled, he made half block and he blow his motor the asshole who did the job doesn't check the boost , and he was a mechanic, anyways he bough a SI engine he put it on, now with another mechanic a good one he said, he only put an cold air intake, he take off the cut (so his car now goes up until 9k rpm I SAW IT) and stage 2 clutch and he said that his car now only with those mod have 280hp is that bullshiet or what?? he said that he can kick my ass at any time (98 tsi awd with 16g, greddy exhaust, k&N, etc "HP ). I'm not going to lie, that car is pretty fast, the tires make "noice " (i don't remember how to said that) when he put the 3st gear, rev pretty fast too, but I think he can't win against my old TSI AWD!!!!!

I'm sorry but there's no way he's gonna beat you. You've got a 16g, exhaust, intake, and im guessing fmic and supports + you have all wheel drive. How in the f could he beat you with a cold air intake? I'm sorry but i dont think so.

hondas can be fast if you know what your doing.aluminum block open decks are not the best for turbocharging.closed deck cast iron blocks like the
nissan:sr-det,2jz and 1jz
toyota:3sge
mitsubishi:4g63
cant leave out mazdas rotary:13b and 20b cosmo

just to name a few off the top of my head are perfect for boost!

I think it's funny how the honda's get dissed around these forums when they are great reliable cars as well as an awsome platform for an affordable performance car. I am not into drag racing so I dont really care how my car accelerates in the quarter. Take your DSM to an autocross and I would bet 9 times out of 10 there will be a honda that can pull in better times than you. I think the reason the have a bad rap is that they are also a perfect platform for an affordable ricemobile but how many non turbo dsm's do you see with the big body kits and underbody lights or the stock exhaust with the apex i muffler that amplifies the constipated sound of the stock system. When you go up to one of these kids and ask them why they chose the non turbo they say they would rather spend the extra money on hoods and bumpers, and then they scrape off the RS or GS so no one knows they drive a possermobille but I know, unless you replaced those crappy drum brakes with some disks I know.
