Bought a 90 Civic

I went to an auto auction Thursday and picked up a 4dr Civic for $100 bucks. Its no Race car but its just the car I need to get me through the winter in Iowa while my Prelude is parked. The car was originaly towed for being illegally parked. I won the bid at the auction and towed it to my garage. I cranked the car over and realized the alt. pully was siezed. After removing the belt it fired up and purred like a kitten. I got a great deal. The paint is in fair condition and the interior is close to new. Maybe when spring hits I will park it and start a new project Since my Prelude is near complete. If anyone has any ideas for mods on this lil Civic let me know.[IMG][/IMG]

I get good deals on Hondas a couple times a year at the auto auction. I got the Prelude last year for $250. Had 80K on the car and title. The only problem was that the fuel cut off relay needed replaced. cost me $10 bucks. You should check out the impound auctions in your area. Here is a picture of the Lude last year. You can check the rest of it out at http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/528935

Its a 4dr and I believe its an LX. It has power everything. The only real problem is the 1.5 thats in it. That will have to be swaped eventually if I decide to Mod it after the winter.

Re: Bought a 90 Civic

i think he means turbo or supercharger... some people think a turbo can be called Boost after the latest FnF craze.. but in reality... superchargers also "boost" the car.. silly newb's lol

I always look to be different but not that different. You get an "E " for Effort though. I am concidering the mods because I have so little into this car. I like to get em cheap and fix them up. Making car payments and doing mods is alot harder.

Re: Bought a 90 Civic

yeah. I'm building my own body kit for my hatch because I wanted to be differnt and almost all the stuff on the market is a little too extreame for a 4th gen. got it almost finished, got to mold in my hood scoops/fender scoops and finish my side skirts and redo my spoiler and I'll be ready for paint. Havnt worked much on the stuff because I'm getting all the body straitend out. Whole thing has been block sanded/filled/smoothed and is 90% ready for paint, then I'll have to mold in the body kit and it will go into the booth. Silver/blue purdyness.
