Me and Kevin's weekend in pictures..(56K warning)

Starting off, Kevin was changing out a wheel bearing on our second gen. Talon. Well......things didn't turn out so good. The jack broke and dropped the poor car! It took a couple hours and a few friends to help us get the car back up.

and here's that bastard jack!

After that was all said and done, Kevin finally installed the TV/DVD player in my truck! (I am officially cool now!)

Then we went over to my mom's in the new first gen. Talon, and said hi to the Z car.

Then picked up the trailer and went and hauled hay! (yeah.....we live in Texas and have horses!!)

And that was me and Kevin's weekend in a nutshell of pictures!

Re: Me and Kevin's weekend in pictures..(56K warning)

Just be glad that the fender didn't knock him in the back of the head on the way down! That could've hurt! A small floor jack might be a good idea..... maybe a jackstand too....

I learned my lesson with that a few years back. The car dropped off the jack a couple of seconds after I got out from under it. Ever since then, there's a 2 ton floor jack in my trunk at all times! (there's an extra pair of pants too!)

Hope you ain't feedin that hay. perhaps a higher quality jack and perhaps jackstand(s) are a good idea. I am glad no one was hurt. As far as being cool. You gotta get rid of the General Mess of Crap first.

Re: Me and Kevin's weekend in pictures..(56K warning)

looking at the jack, it looks like it bent..then the car rolled backwards. Thats what i'm guessing. Should have out a board or something behind the rear tires, if that was the case.

Yeah, the jack bent, but the car didn't roll. (e-brake)
We just stood there and watched the jack give out! Not like we could do anything about it!

Well you had an okay time this weekend. Good thing no one was hurt when that jack fell. By the way, that TV in your truck looks great!

Re: Me and Kevin's weekend in pictures..(56K warning)

i was really suprised when i checked the rotor and bottom part of the suspension. the only damage it did was knock a piece of the stock body kit out.(where the jack was laying after it fell) but i just popped it back in place

*EDIT* PS. Echo of Oblivion sux at CS
