Big turbo

I know this might sound odd, but I have a friend who can get his hands on an old turbo from a Mack diesel... I know this might not even be feasible, but if I were to retrofit it onto my mustang, would it spool outside of by rev limit? What kind of RPM's would I need to be looking at to get any power from it? Just wondering, if I'm being to bland, sorry.

knowing the size of the turbos for comercial diesels your engine might end up leaning under the weight. Ok i might be streching a bit here but you get my point.

Plus since you have a stang gt i presume you have a v8. The manifold will be pretty tricky to fabricate to bring two banks to feed the turbo.

But even if the turbo is not to big and you make the manifold the turbo's compressor map is matched to a completelly different engine.

Re: Big turbo

It have been done, it's some work to get it done and it's important that you know the specs of the turbocharger.
