Engine Power
ok i have a 2.2L 95 s-10. I am puttin a lift on it soon and i kno i will lose lots of power. I am want to put a turbochrager on it and exhaust and wat not. ANyone kno where i could find a used or new tbcharger for a good deal?? also wat about headers??

You won't really feel the power loss until you get bigger tires.
Your better off running a bigger motor than installing a turbo and exhaust. It would probably cost you less, and last alot longer.

I know that a turbo sounds cheaper, and better but there are some things to consider when adding a turbo
- Turbo's work best with dished pistons - Turbo's hate high compression, 8.5to1 is probably the highest that you should run - Turbo charged engines run hotter, and burn out faster - Most non turbo charged engines don't have a strong enough bottom end. Plus a turbo charged 4 cylinder still doesn't have the stump pulling torque that you probably want If you still want to run a turbo you should probably look for a good turbo core motor, and hopefully you can build a suitable motor for your rig using some of the parts. An easier, and probably more affordable alternative is - Make a Ram-Air system (I'm sure that there are free web-sites on the subject) - Get a free flow exhaust system - Look into a more suitable cam shaft - If you still want more power, look into a NOS system. Just the smallest system should be more than enough to get you going. If your truck isn't a 4x4 it shouldn't be too hard to change the gearing in the rear end Good Luck

throw a small block in there. if that isnt enough power, throw a weiand 6-71 blower on there. if that isn't enough power, then youre just crazy

you could build an entire trubo kit for under $600... and the 2.2 engine is a GREAT engine to turbo so dont sweat it. Turbo will be faster and easier to install than a new engine... Run a full exaust (DONT RUN DUAL, YOU WILL LOSE TONS OF BOTTOM END)... and then the turbo at like 7 psi.... it about 10-13 hp per pound of boost
