New Member, Some of my crappy work :D

I just joined up here after browsing for a couple of days, have seen quite a few nice drawings, so I figured it would be a good place to hang out.

Anyway I scanned in some of my drawings (sucky, but they're mine)
Please don't be to hard

I'm no good with perspective (yet) so almost all my drawings are profiles, and I can't quite seem to get the proportions right on most of what I draw, end up with no front/back end or something that looks like a stretch limo. If anyone can throw me a few links for some good drawing tutorials, I would appreciate it, and yes I have looked in the tutorial sticky.

Shay

Your lines are very rough and not precise. Looks like your using a dull pencil. I suggest using a mechanical pencil and try to clean up your lines.

Your on the right foot, just practice.

relax.....don't worry so much about critisism.

You're drawing....have fun.

If there are areas you struggle with, tackle them one at a time. Enjoy the journey. I've been on this trip for 17 years and everyday I feel stupid, but then I can look back at where I came from....

(my best work back in the day...I was 21)

....and all is good.

The art game is 90% mental. We all posess the the same skills. Your lack of confidence, and belief shows in your line.

Draw it like you mean it. Feel your work. If you do that you will improve by leaps and bounds and maybe someday you'll tell an up-and-comer the same thing.

Re: New Member, Some of my crappy work :D

you should also try using the grid technique. it is really easy to get the proportions correct and it should help your drawing a lot.

You've certainly got potencial. Your PS render is good so far. Just take your time with your drawings and you will do fine.
