Stock radio
Has anybody had problems with there stock stereo/cd
just losing volume and them slowly comeing back usually when its on the radio the volume just goes away and if I hit the cd button the cd plays fine and if I turn off the radio wait a few it usually is okay seems to be doing this more and more often |

Yea thats happening to me, it's been like that since I bought it, I think it's probably just dirty in the mechanisim that controlls it. I'm going to take mine out tonight and try cleaning it out, I'll tell you how it goes if your on later (like 1-3 am maybe lol).
Edit: I took it out and tried to get the plastic cover off, no such luck. It's pretty damn well held on, I got it off a little but there was something else holding it on I couldent find. What I need is a can of compressed Co2 like they sell at computer supply stores to squirt in there.

Im not sure if thats my problem it seems
like if you turned the volume knob back and forth you would get some static or something I can turn the volume up all the way and can barley hear it and then if you leave it alone eventully it comes back and I have full volume control and them it may be okay for the rest of the day or screw up 3 or 4 more times that day which I only drive it once a week on sat or sun hope that will work on yours hell I might give it a try too thanks |
