bogging ga16

Cant figure out why my car is bogging and somtimes cutting off. I have checked the codes my self and found a crank angle sensor code and water temp sensor on the ecu. took off the distributor and clean out the sensor , no more c.a.s code but still have water temp code. i have a water temp sensor out of 96 with plug will? it work if I splice it in? and last but not least my car has no egr systems intact, will this naffect performance (make it bog).

dunno, but when my car starting bogging out like that i had to replace the fuel pump.. since then it stopped...
