High RPms.

Was wondering if any1 else knows why or if it normal when i run about 80 Mph My Rpm is at 3000?

Mine is about 3,000 at 75-80 as well

so this is normal then? i have said something to a mechanic i know he said it is possible OverDrive is not working.

Im guessing you have an automatic by that comment. I have a 5 speed and in 5th gear I run at 3k at about 80 mph same as you so I dont see why you think theres something wrong??

well every1 tells me they think that is high rpms for 80. my girls car runs about 2500 at 80 and i was just wondering. so if other people with cavs are the same i am ok with that

your car may be equipped with the quicker ratio final drive than hers that would account for the RPM difference
