Stupid School Parking

My school came out with this great idea of selling more parking passes then parking spots. So I have been forced to find some ghetto ass parking spots these days. Today I found a really small spot and as I parked I hear this crunch. I was like, "OMFG MY CAR!!!" I jump out to see a fucking poll in my front air dam. For some reason my school thinks its a good idea to put poles one foot above the ground in certin parking areas. So now im gonna have to spend at least $100 to get out a fat line of scratchs and have my bumper re painted.

That sucks man...they should put flags on them or something so people can see them. How dumb is that! No one could see a 1 foot pole from inside a car-especially if it's snowy.

Oh.. and just another parking tip for everyone:
Don't EVER parallel-park behind a bus.

When I was on my high-school swim team, we were up at the state meet in SLC and went to UpChuck-A-Rama for food, parallel parking on the street. When we came out and got on the bus, the driver walked around the back to be sure that she wouldn't hit anyone when she backed up. As she got in the bus, a moron in a Saturn pulled up behind the bus, his front only 1' away from our bumper. Of course he was pulled so close she couldn't see him from any of her mirrors let alone out the back with 50+ rowdy high-schoolers in the way. SO...she backed up and those of us in the back felt something funny and yelled STOP! She had backed an entire foot onto the hood of this guy's brand new Saturn. You know that bump that sticks up in the middle of the hood? Well, the entire 1 foot of the front of it was FLAT and PAINTLESS. He had been walking towards the restaurant when it happened, but had heard it and ran up to us screaming obsenities as though it was our fault. He threw a fit and refused to let us leave until he had sat in the driver's seat and verified that there was no way she could have seen his car, despite the fact that we had to be to our meet in 1/2 hr. Well anyways, remember if you're near a bus or semi:

My school assigns parking spaces. But you have to have a tag hanging form your rearview mirror. The tag costs $75. If you're late to 1st period 5 times, they suspend your parking privelages for 10 days. If you're late to first period 10 times, then you'd better find a ride or catch the bus because they revoke your privelages. Its the biggest load of bullshit i've ever heard, but oh well.

As for the story about the pole, there are similar pole in my lot, and my friend hit one with his Xterra. It left a small dent in his front bumper and made his rear wiper go off non-stop like crazy, draining his washer fluid... it was hilarious. :hehehe: We eventually pulled the fuse for the wiper so it would stop.

At my high school there wasn't assigned parking and they sold more parking hangers than there were spots so you had to show up early to get a spot. So I showed up 40mins early to get there be before anyone everyday and parked right next to the stairs leading up to the school ( wouldn't want to walk too far ) and did my homework while I listened to the radio.

Anyway I think you have no one to blame except yourself, you drove into the pole, its your fault.

Damn man I know how you feel, my school parking is the stupidest thing... Not only do they sell more passes then spaces, but the kids drive like morons!!! I had an accident 2 weeks after I got my g20 right in front of the parking lot!! I hate driving to school...

hehe, i remember driving to and from school back in high school.. the best way to describe it was mad dash, or at least that's what everyone else thought of it as. Lucky now at UofA people are a little more courteous and i don't see the stupid little stuff anymore (backing up into your car, having your car keyed, stupid little accidents, etc...). And don't complain about $75 a year for parking, i pay $400!!!! At least it's in a big 4 or 5 level parking garage and i don't have to worry about not finding a spot to park. I usually park next to the nicest car i can find, which is usually an Audi, BMW, and sometimes a Supra.

UGGGG Speaking of school parking!!! Damn parking nazis at my school give you tickets up the ass!! I swear after the 4 years of college I have given the fucking school like $500. Biatches.

HAHA yeah, parking and transportation services here at UA keeps a really close eye on parking too... they must make a killing off of parking tickets.

That sucks, my school has a first come first serve parking system, so if you don't get there by about 7 am you have to walk the better part of a 1/4 mile
