New Caravan Owner Has Questions

I'm a first-time Dodge Caravan owner and I have a few questions...

Does anyone know where I can buy an owners' manual?

What's the official word on my gas tank capacity?
I'm figuring it as a 19 gallon tank that gets 22/25 mpg.
Does this sound about right?

I got 460 miles from a tank of gas,
and that was running it 'til it was bone dry (which I don't plan
to do often, but I really wanted to know what the fuel gauge
meant by what it said...)

Does anyone have an online parts source they recommend?

Thank you for all your posts as I was thinking about
buying my new van.

You can purchase an owner's manual online from Daimler-Chrysler at:

https://techauthority.gltghosting.co...atalogId=10051

I believe the cost is $10 plus shipping and fondling.

Good luck with the van!

Re: New Caravan Owner Has Questions

I have a 99 Plymouth Voyager best vehicle I ever owned. Congratulations on your new van. Just about the perfect vehicle. The best minivan hands down.

As for the owners manual I would go to my local autoparts store and purchase a Hanes repair manual. For $20 it pays for itself on the first repair job, that you otherwise would have paid out in labor. It has all the specs for this or any other vehicle the manual pertains to.

Dear Lloyd329,

Thanks for the tip! What year is your Caravan? Any idea
what the official gas tank capacity is? I'm figuring mine
at 18 gallons...

What kind of mileage do you get with your van?

Good thinking, buying an owners' manual on the 'web.

Without lookng in the book I would have to guess 18 gallon. I own a 1998 caravan se. I get approx. 20-22 mpg combined highway/city. My engine is the 3.0 V6.
