Re: Fuel Injectors

Don't use the Ether Bunny(Starting Fluid) to try and get it to fire up. Try using Gumout instead, it's like using aresol gasoline. Just spray for like 1 second into the intake with the buterfly valve open and then try and start it. If it tries to start, the you definitely have spark. If it doesn't, then I would look to a compression check or a weak spark condition. Hope this helps -Chris

Re: Fuel Injectors

Just because you hear the fuel pump, doesn't necessarily indicate that it is working properly. There is a black cap on the fuel supply line near throttlebody, remove it and you will find a valvestem like on a bike tire. It is designed for fuel pressure guage but if you don't have a test guage, with key in the "crank position", push the valve stem and you should get a massive volume of fuel very quickly. If you don't, then your pump requires replacement. Be sure that you replace your fuel filter also, a plugged filter will burn up the pump 85% of the time! Good Luck!

Re: Fuel Injectors

I understand that you have replaced the pump and the filter. But do you have fuel pressure and volume at Injector area? You see, there may be more involved...for example, The fuel injectors are not commanded to spray by the ecm until the crank sensor recieves a signal. So the question still remains the same - do you have good fuel pressure and volume? Sorry for the hassle...but it must be verified.
