Help Me avoid orange peel!!

HI... I am new to this car modelling.... I have finished painting my cars.... All them have orange peel... I am using Tamiya Spray can. How to avoid this? I read about not having enough pressure.... Tamiya can are presurrised... How to control it? How about priming? do I skip this part or not?
I also read other threads saying about compund and waxing.... What is compuonding and waxing? How to use them? Can anybody teach me how to eliminate this problem. Help me please somebody.

You're most likely spraying to far away from the car. The paint is drying too fast before it can level out. I , myself spray only about 4 inches away from the body, And when I use tamiya spray can's I never get orange peel.

when you paint, its always best to lay down several mist coats, 4 or 5 mist coats until the paint fully covers the car, then as your final coat spray it a bit heavier,
your will still end up with a tiny bit of orange peel, and thats why you wetsand and polish, thats the only way you will get a mirror like finish.

Actually you can get a perfect finish out of a spray can. It just takes practice. Okay a lot of practice but it can be done.

Like I said i am not familiar with these terms. What is wetsanding and what do I polish it with? somebody please enlighten me on these things as I am still learning. Thanks...

wet sanding is using very fine grit sand paper (4000 grit-12000grit) to smooth out surfaces without ruining the paint job (you must work slowly to aviod sanding through paint coats) tamiya compound gets rid of small imperfections and a small layer of paint. tamiya polish shines your car... I personally primer on every car. the process should be sanding, compounding, and then polishing, but you might have to wetsand in between for a perfect finish. wetsanding in between primer and final paint coats also even out paint surface and add to a smooth surface.
