pocket bike steering stabilizer?
ok, I was wondeing if everybody who reads this could tell me where theyve seen the smalelst struts in both diameter and length before in cars. my hatchbacks rear window has some pretty short ones but I think its still gonna be too long if I gt one meant for my car to make this stabilzer. I know when I ride my friends pocket bikes they are pretty wobbbly. not sure if maybe they dont have thr rear wheel exactly sstraight so it cant track true or what? but I do know on one of them I adjusted the chain and tuirned both sides the same amoutn, theres no marks to go by so I couildnt do it by that, so i just did equal fractiosn of turns on either side, and they said they hadnt touched it so it is how it came and it doesnt do it enough to where you feel like youll fall, but i jst saw a girl ride one and wobble a bit and soemhow the wobble ended in here doinglike a barrel trol with the bike and it ending up on top of her. so I was going to do this for peace of mind for me when riding, and ESPECIALLY to ease my mind if Im letting someone else ride it.
I was just gonna take the pivot point where it threads into the car at the top of the inner rod, and cut off the threads, and weld around the nut part of it to one front fork strut by the tree, and the other end back on the frame somewhere, dont have my bike but the main frame looks the same and this strut would be too long for thewir bikes, so any ideas where I could find one thats the right length.

long shot but how about R/C shocks filled with mega heavy oil. as for the rear wheel wobble, you should make the tyre run true before the rim. if there is a axle/tyre error then it will make it wobble

Re: pocket bike steering stabilizer?
well, Im not sure what wheel causes it to wobble, or if its a wheel, maybe its ju7st cause youre doing 30mph on a 30 inch wheelbase?? I doubt it but maybe. and about the RC shocks, ive thought abou tit but I dont know of any with enough travel, Id have to have it in its halfway position when going straight, and longest shock I know of has I think about 3 inches of travel, and I think the struts on the fork move back and forth more than that. when my bike is actually in my posession it will be easier to do, and hell, maybe mine wont even wobble like theirs. all 3 of the ones i rode did but one was much worse than others and one barely wobbled at all.

think outside the norm.
if you mount the stabiliser in line with the bike instead of across you can use a smaller one. but different forces will be required to move it so some fiddling with oil may be required to get it just right

thats how I planned it, from one side of the frame to on side of the fork. I just dont know how close these 2 points are on my bike yet

Re: pocket bike steering stabilizer?
From what I've experienced, I think the wobble is all in the rider... it's hard to scrunch your body up in a ball and keep your balance. I wouldn't go all out on this idea until you see if it's honestly the bike, or your lack of balance, that causes the wobble.

Re: pocket bike steering stabilizer?
no, not bragging at all or anything but I work in construction and can walk 50 feet (longest ive had the chance to) on a 2x ridge 40 feet in the air (thats 1.5" wide for anyone who doesnt know, I can ride a wheelie on my uncles quad almost infinitely, I got good at wheeles on my full size bike in days afdter I tried, I know balance is not my problem, plus I only wobble on this klids bike, and the othewr kid I barely wobble, another I dont at all. and on the ones I do, I see them wobble sometimes as well. Im getting another different type of bike though so I might not need it. just want ideas in case I do
