Check Engine Light????

Hi

I know its been asked before but just the other day my "Check Engine Light" came on. I have an 01' Jetta VR6 with only 17,000 miles. What could be wrong???? Any ideas??? I will be bringing it in to the dealership Monday morning. Is it safe to drive it?

Re: Check Engine Light????

So you know, You can go to autozone and they can
pull the code on the check engine light for free!
In the owners' manual it will detail which indicator lights are safe to drive while on and which need immediate attention.
let us know what was wrong....

I had the same problem with my 95 Jetta. After i had the prob fixed the light stayed on...until i disconnected the negative battery cable, and then the light went off...so try that for a free fix.
