OMG Transmission Nightmare!

Holy moly im so upset... someone give me a good sign please....

Reading through the posts I learned about the Shift Solenoid which I needed to replace and why I was at it I decided to do filter change. So I get the pan off and replace the solenoids. Well when I ripped off the filter the existing rubber sleeve tore. The kit provided a new one but I cant get the old one out? So and heres the nightmare, im using a little pick 2" with a curve on the end to pull down this pressed in sleeve when the pic slips and goes through the transmission just below where the fliter plugs up into. OMG I can see a 1/2" square that was where the casting of the tranny was made is gone and I can see stuff inside. Does anybody have experiance with this? Is it toast? Will I cuase a fire or something if I try and see if it works? How the heck do I ghet that pressed in fitting out..
