Huge numbers of Seville, as well as other Cadillacs, have Amar Bose's "Gold" premium sound system in their car. It would seem that these packages are doomed to fail. So many owners cannot understand why their door speakers no longer work. Car stereo stores usually advise complete removal of all four amplified speaker pods and replacing with 6x9 coaxial or even triaxial speakers that are to be powered by a four channel amplifier that is infinitely more reliable than the Bose amplifier board. Several companies offer CD head units that fit in place of the o.e. Delco/Bose one. The easiest way to restore the original sound is to trash the Bose amplifier board mounted in the plastic pod that holds the tiny Bose speaker and replace it with a much better board from several aftermarket companies. The board is a direct replacement for the Bose, and mounts very simply. Visit
