Don't know where to post this, Selling my car.
OK here is the deal, I just purchased a 2002 Cadillac Seville STS from a dealership, I mean JUST purchased it 1 week ago. I am holding the title right now, the records, everything, and my name is on the back of the title but I haven't taken it to the DMV to be registered in my name. I would really like to sell the car without having to pay the 8.8% tax in my state because I'm already losing a lot of money and I can't afford to lose another 2 grand on this. So is there anyway I can sell the car without having the title registered in my name, I mean not pay taxes on it? My name is on the back mind you, as written by the seller of the car. Could I sell it back to another dealership, because they don't pay taxes and get another title don't they? Anyways any help would be great. God I am so screwed on this money. Please help.

Re: Don't know where to post this, Selling my car.
I don't think you can sell a car that is not registered to you. Don't quote me on that though. You might be able to get a "refund" from the dealership in which you would also recover taxes that you paid on the car? Not sure about that though.

Why do you want your money back?
