s10 dies

My son has a 1994 S10 that dies at various times, it does restart. No codes show up and the repair place has no ideas they say until it sets a code. Any ideas?

2 things come to mind. If you have a v-6 check fuel pressure. If the fuel pump is putting out low pressure the engine won't start or may stall. These motors are very sensitive to fuel pressure. Also, change the fuel filter if it hasn't been done lately.

More information might help. Automatic or Manual, engine?. Does it sputter then stall, or feel like someone turned the key off? Does it happen on Decel? Accel? or while cruising? When engine is hot, cold or both?
