help strange prob with tack and trac

it has happend a lot in the last week ill be driving and my tranny will shift then my tach goes dead and my trac light comes on as well but once i restart the car everything works like norm it a 99 grand prix gt plz help if you can

this is very close...if not exactly what was happening to my 00' GP Gt. one time it did it and threw a code for a replacement of a crankshaft position sensor. after i had the shop put a new one in...it has never happened since. part + installation was around 200 for me

common problem, it is your crank position sensor
