Question Exhaust sound

hey guys i just recent got a 2 1/4" cat back installed last week, and for some reason now the exhaust sound is different. i have no idea what would cause it to be different. anyways what factors go into a sound of an exhaust and how do they they effect it. could i just be used to it?!?! thanks

Re: Exhaust sound

Probably the muffler getting broke in, fiberglass and/or other materials have been heat cycled a few times so there sound deadening charicteristics are getting broken in. Also could be your ears.
