Is slow-boy racing a very good company. I like a lot of the things on there site, especially there OEM timing belt stuff. I want to make sure there a full-proof company, and has good customer relations.

i know and excellent place for that....the classifieds in your local newspaper. sell the non-turbo and buy something that can be boosted, awd is also a plus

gthompson-- this is the first and only time i will say this, but shut the f*** up! That was a worthless post. I'm in high school, okay, little background. I'm not rich, i earn every penny(my family isn't rich), and every dime i make, i put into my car(or the bank, which eventually goes to my car). I'm not a ricer, before you get that idea from me being a high schooler, i'm a car guy, i work on cars, anything to make them faster, i don't care so much for the exterior of the car, as long as it's got some go. i can afford to buy a turbo dsm, even a AWD, but i can't afford the high insurance, that and my parents wouldn't let me get it, on account that they care for my life. Now, back to the thread.

Re: Sbr???

i'm in the same boat too buddy. still in highschool, every penny i make goes to my car, and i spend at least 10 hours a week tweaking on my car. i had the same idea as you do. i have a nt and tried to make it fast but in the long run, it'll be cheaper in the long run. i've done it. i still have my nt and also an awd (nt soon to be sold though.) and as far as insurance goes, my insurance didn't go up a penny. a non-turbo eclipse is just as much of a class 4 sports car as an awd turbo, so insurance won't change, and if it does, it's very little, unless of course you've had some tickets.

ok, my bad gettin on your back. see, i pay 85 bucks a month right now, no tickets, but i'm under my parents name, and my dad, well, he used to have alot of fun with his cars, lol. I think my parents just didn't want to take the risk of a me and turbo, lol. Pisses me off, when people always ask if you have a turbo, and you have to say no.

Re: Sbr???

I bought a ported evo3 turbo, SBR front mount and had almost all of my engine work done by SBR. Did an awesome job! You'll like them. they won't let you down.

For those of you interested in ditchin the NA for a turbo mine is for sale. 12 second 346 Hp. Might be right up your alley. Let me know
