GSX or GT

Looking for another eclipse, have found some good eclipses. Including a gt and a gsx for about the same price and about the same mileage. Which one should i get?

WHich car would win in a race, The GSX with an upgraded turbo or a GT with a Ripp Mods Supercharger?

Re: GSX or GT

I don't know much about supercharged GTs, but GSXs have proven numbers in the quarter mile, and proven longevity even under high boost with upgraded turbos. I would go with the GSX: better looks, better performance, and more bang for the buck

Definitely go with the GSX. As joematthews said, it has been proven to be absolutely amazing when it comes to most bang for the buck. Also, the GSX is a tad bit lighter, and it looks a LOT better IMO!

Well i know a couple of people that have a supercharged GT, not personally, just on forums and stuff. And they have had no issues and Ripp modifications who makes the turbo systems have had no complaints according to them. The use a vortech centrifugal supercharger on thier systems. With the turbo upgrde im looking at for the GSX it will give me around 310 HP, with the supercharger kit for the GT it will give me around 375 HP. Less horsepower and AWD vs more horsepower and FWD. WHich one would come out on top.

The supercharger system for the GT produces boost rather quickly, so LAG isnt an issue.

Re: GSX or GT

310 HP on the GSX can be accomplished with a small16g, which is a pretty small turbo. With an evo3 16g, you'll be pushing over 310 at the wheels pretty easily. 375 hp (at crank or wheels?) on a FWD = lots of tractions problems! If it were me, I'd take the GSX in a heartbeat (you would too if you've ever done an AWD launch ), just for the sole purposes of AWD + much more potential! Obviously, it's all up to you. However, I really really think you'll be happier with the GSX!

Re: GSX or GT

think of it this way, what would win in ur
supercharged GT Vs. the GS-X w/ turbo upgrade
its more like...
Subaru WRX STI vs. a Corvette Z06, both are going to have better advantages the awd will give more traction and the 2wd is going to have traction problems, i say test drive both and see, i have a GT and love it, but i've never ridden in a GS-X but i'm told its better!! and honestly i believe them get the GS-X!!
