Advice on new M3

I'm looking at buying a new 2005 M3, shortly, but before I do so I wanted to see when the 2006 can be expected, would be safe to buy (bugs worked out) and any ideas on price? Is anyone dealing on M3's in southern California?

I was told by the dealership the next M3 won't be out til the end of 2006. Yep, that's 2 years away.

I can tell you I know that no dealers are dealing on them because I just bought mine. The new car is not due for at least a year and a half. It will be the M4 with a 400 hp v8.

There not calling it the next M3 the M4. I've spent alot of time researching this, and they want to keep the M3 name since it has such a great reputation. Therefore the "4-Series" will be the new hard-top cabrio (kinda like MB's SL and SLK) based on the E90 3-Series. All of this info came out within the last month or so. There will probably also be a M4, also a hardtop convert, but the coupe will remain the M3.
