Help 2000 Expedition - Won't Start

I have a 2000 Exp. that won't start. When I turn on the ignition the engine starts then dies. When I press down on the gas pedal the engine will stay on (sometimes) , take my foot off the pedal it dies. It's has 85k miles.

replace the idle air control valve (IAC)
