Re: 1985 ford f150 vapor lock?

I'm thinking fuel.My truck won't start after I drive it. I have to wait 15-30 minutes after I go somewhere before it will start again. It will turn turnover but it won't catch then I wait the time and it will start.

Re: 1985 ford f150 vapor lock?

i had the same problem and it turned out to be the ICM ignition control modual (gray box on the side of the distributor) if you have it tested it will test good because they only mess up when they are warm...

You also might want to check the coil.

Cabed or injected?

If injected, replace the fuel pump (after you have identified that as THE problem using a fuel pressure gauge).
