Well, it all depends on what kind of class they are in. most diesel trucks race in the DHRA, it's kinda a blanket class if I understand correctly.

I think that this is one of the fastest:

but in general, they can run stock at about 16-18 seconds, and heavilly modded to run on big slicks and make 10-11 sec passes.

Well, why not but it in a lighter frame? or is the engine itself 6000+ lbs. If that's the case, why not make a lighter engine?

Re: diesel dragster

I meant trucks, dragsters are a lot lighter. In the video both the dragster and the truck were diesel. The dragster got a very low 9 sec.

Re: diesel dragster

you dont see diesels at the races because most diesel dually is $40k+

thats why you see alot of cheap CRX HFs at the races gutted

i was goofin around in my buddy's mustang gt with decent mods and a big Ford powerstroke pulled up next to me revvin. I've never seen 8 thousand pounds of truck come off the line that fast in my life. not only did this truck beat that mustang, it raped its bottom with no KY. and ive seen this mustang run 13s in the 1320 so id have to say that damn truck was running mid 12s easy

this f350 runs 11.42 in the video against what looks like an older rx7.

That was a good vid. Boy, at first glance, one wouldn't a 6000+ lb. truck could own a small sports car like that so baddly. But that's diesel for ya.

Diesel Pro-mod

I ran across this the other day. Banks is building a diesel pro-mod. 2500 horse. Should run pretty quick.
