mercedes mall concept moment

pull up a chair and have a moment ---from a fledgling career, from another lifetime, deep from the archives, is this mercedes mall concept drawing. customer sits and negotiates with a salesperson in f/g:

where i have come from.
where i have gone.
where i will yet go.

a pensive moment of reflection...

thanks. that one is cropped, too. the drawing dimensions cannot fit on my scanner. drawing is longer and taller than what you see.

Nice presentation, I like your use of language. Really, I do. (no sarcasm)

Nice work too, I like the Mercedes dealer.

Amazing. Simply amazing.

I especially liked the first picture.

BTW, how long did it take you to paint it?

Re: Visual Homage: basement archives_sunbeam

i tend to hide the mediums i use so the viewer cannot tell if its paint or... what is it?

when i began coloring the sunbeam drawing, it took about 3 days to fully dial it in. it took about a week, at leisure with spurts of intensity, to get the line drawing down. the front end of that car was a bish. and i made up the view from several views of the car. in other words, no view like what i did existed of that car. i had to interpolate it and the entire street with architecture. it is therefore a composite drawing made from dozens of references.

i used about 98% ad marker to do it, with some colored pencil and gouache hi-lites. many people assume it is painted. but it is only a drawing.

on color drawings, i typically will give the entire scene rather than just the car.

lemorris, thank you.
