99 Windstar Electrical

I was driving home and turned on the headights and all my guages died. I got home, parked and tried to start the van later that day and it wouldnt even crank. My daytime runnig lights, radio power, and inside blower motor (for heat and ac) are stuck ON, even with the ignition off and key out. The only dash light i get is the seatbelt one.

I Read a post with a similar prob and i did a "by the book" check of the ignition switch and it checked out perfectly.

any suggestions PLEASE HELP.

Wife had similar prob with her '98 windstar with all gauges flashing and going out...finally died in middle of the road...alternator bad...replaced it and all is well..for the most part...except some minor electrical thangs...good luck...
