which head for ls or b20 vtec build

which head would be the best for a ls or b20 vtec build. type r, gsr or b16a head? i heard the b16a head would be the best because of it's ports for air flow but i'm not sure if thats true or not. which head would produce most power on either block? and what block would be better to use? please respond with any help.thanks all!

Best head: Type R flows the best and has better cams, then the b16a would be next.
Better block: Probably the b20 for it's bigger displacement.

ive read somewhere, i think on importreview.com, that the gsr and b16a head flow almost the same; little difference. but if you want something that is already good to start out with, then the Type-R head would be good. if you are going to build it up anyways, then dont worry about the Type-R head. Type-R head=cams+port and polished B16 head.

ive heard from an engine builder that the gsr head is a better head to start with because it can be ported more then a b16 head, something like that

i never said the b16a was better then the gsr, but only problem with gsr is it doesnt use the same intake manifold bolt pattern as the b16a and type-r.
