How to remove broke bolt from aluminum
I have a bolt that goes from the fuel rail into the aluminum intake there are only 2 bolts that hold it down. Aparently it was put in crooked and stripped. When I tried to loosten it the head of the bolt broke off. Now the bolt is in the way of putting the fuel rail back down. What do I need to do to get this bolt out. The bolt is so ungodly tight in there that no matter how tight I lock down on it w/ vice grips the grips spin on the shaft of the bolt. I know once I get it back out I need to helie coil it (spelling). But someone please give me advise on getting that damn bolt out.

Re: How to remove broke bolt from aluminum
You might want to try an "Easy-out". I believe that is what its called. Either way, its a small square rod. You drill a hole into the broken off bolt and then pound the Easy out into the hole pretty good. Then you use a wrench to take the bolt out. If you do try it, make sure and get some Kano-Kroil and soak the area first. If you aren't confident, then you should probably take it somewhere. Once again, not sure on the name of that thing.
