Come on!!??

What up people!
Anyways, I'm sure a lot of the folks in here might have quick Hyundais, but let's be honest, and be true to yourself, Hyundai Excels are not quality cars, I mean, you can make a Yugo go quick if you stick a 2.2 VTEC or a well mod 4A-GZE and even more a 4G3 with a blower, but it won't make it a good car, just fast.

So I'm asking you, if you have an Excel and beat a guy who's driving an E36 M3, would you feel amazing? Sure you are faster, but you still driving a crappy car, an he's driving a beemer which if he sells, he could probably buy 30 Excels.

So anyways, I drive a Toyota Carina-E, and even though its nice and quick enough, I wouldn't dare compare it with something superior, so Come On! Gimme a Break!

I guess you are referring to this thread in which you also posted.

Well not for nothing, but when the Hyundai Excel came out in the late 80s/early 90s it was considered a great vehicle. In fact it sold so many that Hyundai could not keep up with the demand. It broke sales records in its first year. Its built on the same platform as a Mitshubishi Mirage / Doge/Plymouth Colt which they share the same engine. True the engine wasn't that great as time surely showed us, due to the stalling issues but it wasn't a Hyundai engine but rather a Mitsubishi one.

Comparing the Excel against the Mirage and the Colt one sees that they are similar in design and problems, so in effect whatever that can be applied to the Hyundai Excel can be applied to the other two as well in terms of problems. Yet all people remember is the Hyundai name being as bad. Go figure.

As for putting in an engine in an Excel let me forward you to this article that is quite enlightening.

Hey Excels rock, I think you should first, as a newbie, get a little updated as to what's posted, this one post is old as hell, plus, before you talk about a car, do a little research on automobiles, and refer also to this post
