Check the stickies at the top before asking a question, cuz these kinds of threads usually piss ppl off.

well the increase is actually a decrease of 10 hp. Because it is 5 pounds heavier then the stock intake tube and filter.

True but......If you put the sticker that came with the intake on the car you get that 10 back plus 25 more!!! :

I sure hope you're kidding

Anyways, with the hard pipe on you'll be able to hear your turbo and bov a lot better, but I'm not too sure about HP numbers gained from it though. I'd guess 1-2hp since you already have an open cone-style filter.

Shit, pipes and cones.Kids stuff.

I ran well into the 11's with a K&N in the stock air can with just the nose hacked off and a 3.5" hose attached instead, and the stock, rubber accordion air can to turbo inlet hose.

Re: what kind of hp increase is to be expected

There's too many "sticker" comments in every thread. There's no reason to post unless you tell them why their thread isn't reasonable.

You can't calculate the horsepower difference from every mod, because it adds percentages, ratios, and is dependent on all your other mods. Intakes on stock cars add between 5 and 12 horsepower according to the magazines that actually dyno every mod.

Here is a good example. Installing a magnus intake manifold on a stock 2g would probably add 15 horsepower, but dre99gsx saw like 45+ horsepower after installing his intake manifold with all his mods.

See why you can't figure every mod out? It depends what order you go in, the filter, the car, the milage, how old the spark plugs are, how much residue is inside the intake piping, etc...

I heared if you already have 10 stickers on adding the 11th will add like 30 hp more then if you were to just add that same sticker by itself it would only add 12

Re: what kind of hp increase is to be expected

did you not read the mods post right above yours about stickers?
Has anyone at one of the dsm sites dyno'd their car after they did most of the basic mods short of geting rid of the t25 and getting something bigger?

Re: what kind of hp increase is to be expected

the biggest issye you solve bu gettign a hard UICP is removing the stock 'pancake' tube that goes under the fuse box. this is a pretty good restrictor of airflow and freeing it up will give you a bit more breath for the engine. i have no idea about hp #'s though
