Tire Size Clearance

Hello everybody. I have an 88 cougar with with 245/50/16's all around on a set of 16x7 snowflake turbocoupe rims. A friend of mine, noticing that my back tires were shot, offered me a pair of 265/50/16's he has sitting in his garage. I was wondering if anybody out there has put tires this size on the back of their Cat and had any clearance problems? Any input would be great. Thanx all for reading :-)
