What would be technical problems?

I have a '82 Olds 98 great condition all brake components new, interior excellent. Unfortunantly the engine is starting to rod knock and is on its last leg. I have a SB chevy engine and 350 (short/long tail) and 400 tranny. I know the BOP tranny won't bolt up so I can use one of my trannies. I would like to know what else will not match up. Yoke? Motor mounts? Tranny mount? Accy's bolted on to original engine will not fit? Thank you in advance.

Lots of those chassis came with sb chevys. Its an easy swap.
Find a set of SB chevy motor mounts for that chassis. A similar year of Chevy Caprice mounts will do.
Your existing PS pump, alternator and AC compressor will bolt to the new engine but you would need to use the chevy accessory mounting brackets.
Use the 350 trans. Your car should have a 350 trans right now, so as long as the tailshaft is the same length your driveshaft and trans mount all should fit.
Use the chevy exhaust manifolds. You would need a Caprice y-pipe to hook up your existing exhaust.
